Hatrick

Anu was my flat mate in Hyderabad. She too got a transfer to pune recently and has been invinting me over to their place for sometime now.
Yesterday, after a lot of planning I finally went to stay at their place in Baner. Se stays with 2 roomies, and 3 of their friends stay in the flat above them.
So in order to ‘have lots of fun’ we all went for a movie: ‘Hatrick’ to E-square. The movie was at 9.15 pm, and so we had to convince the guys to skip dinner, or miss the movie. Finally after a lot of discussion and reverse psychology, we managed to pick up burgers and went for the movie. Lets not go in the details of the movie, coz I nodded off a couple of times in between. But lets just say it was a good target for comments :D ...... and oh! ya, Kunal Kapoor looks HAUGHHHHT :D

Anyways, by the time it got over, staying awake was taking a lot of effort. So we had coffee…. Some really expensive, but good coffee :)
The guys were hungry as the movie had deprived them of their dinner. So they were seriously considering beating up Anu (the movie was her idea).
Now, outside e-square, there is some construction going for a series of flyovers and half the road is blocked…. The half that goes till university circle. So there was no choice but to walk till there.
There is no hope of getting a bus at midnight near the circle. So hitch hiking is considered as the most common means of transport. This was news to me, and I was rather apprehensive about getting in some unknown vehicle. We actually asked a few trucks and tempos for a lift, but (thankfully) as they were full of boxes or vegetables, there was no place for the 6 of us.
Finally came along a rickshaw. And after 10 minutes of bargaining with him, he agreed upon 90 bucks for the ride. So in went 6 people, do not ask me how (the 3 guys are 6’3”!!!).

Puja (Anu’s other roomie) was asleep by the time we reched home, and we tried to wake her up by giving her missed calls. But shez a smart gal and switched her cell off. So we decided to let her sleep in peace. :)
Now I was there as Anu’s friend, and not a part of their ‘group’ so most of their friends I am acquainted with, but don’t know very well.
It was now !am, and the coffee had driven away our sleep. So then came to someone’s idle mind the devilish idea of using my cell to call up people from their gang. After much consideration and calculations of the consequences, they called up 3 people. 1 unfortunately recognized their voice, one must have been quite confounded so they took pity on him and let him sleep. The third was too sleepy to hear it out, and told us that we had a wrong number. :D

All in all, it was a lot of fun and I have an invitation to “come again for a long stay :)”.. but next time, no movie. We’ll go for dinner .. and perhaps a disk later ;)
