Monsoon is finally here! 2 months of heat and everyone was desperately waiting for the showers. The first rain got everyone up and away from their desks and out, enjoying the rain. All blinds drawn back, and windows open, Productivity was on an all time low.
The Infy bulletin board was full of ‘the song that comes to your mind’ and all the songs that could be possibly linked to the rains were, indeed linked to it. All the poets were in full bloom, and shayars on the high, and received full appreciation for their compositions. High priority, pressing work was postponed instantly; plans for the weekend trip to lonavla/ sinhagad were the talk of the day. In one day, the demand for ice-creams and sodas was diverted to coffee and soup. It could have been a perfect chance and reason to dump all the work and shoot off for a long drive to Sinhagad, with someone perhaps, perhaps on a bike ;)
